Double wall chimneys

Double wall chimneys consist of two pipes (inner and outer) with different diameters. Longitudinal joint of these pipes are plasma welded, ends of pipes are formed with hydraulic expansion machine which makes it easy to connect elements with each other and secure proper tightness of joints. Diameters of pipes depend on the output of heating equipment.  Thermo insulation layer is located between these pipes, which protects a chimney from sudden cooling and condensate formation. Thickness of thermo insulation layer varies from boiler fuel type.  “Vilpra” uses “ROCKWOOL“ insulating material which is nonflammable, chemical-proof and eco-clean.

Double wall chimney inner pipe diameter can vary from 100 mm to 900 mm. Chimney is easily mounted from 1.0, 0.5 or 0.3 m long chimney sections and connected with each other using stainless steel clinchers and connecting support bands.

These chimneys may be mounted on the outer wall of dwelling house or inside the building. Several boilers with the same fuel type can be connected to one double wall chimney if necessary. In this case customer must have designed solution.

Ventilation

Using coloured galvanized tin, the colour of double wall chimney outer wall may match the colour of the house roofing perfectly or might become an original accent of the house exterior.
